Belt and Road Project: 30 million poor people will benefit out of it, says World Bank

World Bank has said that Belt and Road initiative of China will benefit the economy of developing countries and can help millions of currently poor people living in poverty.

According to a report published by the World Bank, it states that China further needs to clarify all the information and its policies needs to be highly transparent.

The report says that after the completion of Belt and Road projects, approximately 3.2 million poor people will get out of poverty.

The Belt and Road initiatives of China consists of building projects of Ports, Roads network, Airports and many more. These projects will connect China to Europe through Central and South Asia.

Still, the World Bank has shown some grievance in the report too.

The total amount of funds used in all these projects should be transparent, World Bank Vice President for Equitable Growth Ceyla Pazarbasioglu said in a statement.
