64 Percent of Indians encounter 'Fake News': Microsoft Survey


NEW DEHLI: Mircosoft Survey reveals that 64 Percent of Indians encounter 'Fake News' while working online. The rate of phishing and spoofing is stood at 42 percent. The survey was conducted by Microsoft and according to the survey, the statistics show that 'Fake News' pain is going to increase Ahead of Polls.

There's an average estimate of 57 Percent of people facing fake news or misinformation in the worldwide while this shows the alarming condition of India.



According to the survey, behind the transmission of fake news are friends and their families that makeup of 9 Percent of total human resources in spreading false information. Mostly, teenagers are the biggest hit by online risks.

The survey reveals that most of the misleading information produced by major Indian media outlets including the Zee News, ABP News, and India Today.

In India, Press Freedom is also being compromised on a large scale. Journalists are being targeted. They are either forced to give good reviews about anything or they are highly paid by the third parties (mostly politicians).
